This document is subject to some copyright restriction which forbids copying and so I have a transcript made by Sheila Clark The will denotes Sarah as a widow and is proved in 1770 thus giving us an approximate date of death for Sarah and also an estimate of the date of death of her husband John Adlington In her will Sarah mentions 6 children two more than previously known although the first born Mary does not feature and so must be presumed dead A sum of £20 each goes to 5 of the children and her real estate goes to son Richard who is also her executor This estate is located in Skegby
Witnesses are John Dakeyne Samuel Stafford and William Vickors
There is a further associated document concerning a bond of £200 payable to the commissary of the exchequer at the court of the most reverend arch-bishop of York This binds Richard Adlington and his brother in law Samuel Stafford to produce a true inventory of all the Goods Rights Credits Cattles and Chattles of the said deceased and if required may have to enter a further bond presumably if the value exceeds the first figure
